A company led by two New Glasgow natives featuring money belts made by artisans in Kenya continues to grow.  Last spring, the company, Stashbelt, co-founded by Seth Rozee and Jeff Davis, successfully raised 10-thousand dollars through a crowdfunding campaign to allow their workshop in Nairobi to re-tool and move to larger quarters.  Rozee says that move is now complete to  a more mechanized facility.

Rozee says it has a few stores that carry their belts, and they’re looking for more. The money belt looks like a casual belt, but it contains a USB drive to store documents and an 18 inch hidden zippered pocket which can hold more than 500 dollars in folded bills and important papers.

Rozee says the company is also excited about a new development, they will fly to Toronto next month hoping to land a venture capital deal on the popular CBC Television show “Dragon’s Den” .

There’s no word on when the episode will air.
